Questions
Is field rotation the same as star trailing?
No. Trailing smears every star the same way. Field rotation spins the frame around your target, so the centre stays sharp and the corners suffer.
What do I need for EQ mode?
A wedge or tilting head set to your latitude, a sturdy tripod, true north, and about five minutes of polar alignment in the app.
Does it work in the southern hemisphere?
Yes. Tilt to your latitude and face true south instead of north.
