The Draco is Dwarflab’s biggest step up yet: 90 mm of aperture (nearly double the Seestar S50 Pro’s 50 mm), a 50 MP 1/1.3″ sensor, and a mechanically rotating sensor that lets it track for 300-second exposures without needing a separate equatorial mount. That last part is the headline feature — it solves field rotation, the problem that normally forces alt-az smart telescopes into short sub-exposures.

What it’s good at
The combination of a large aperture, a high-resolution sensor and long unguided exposures is a genuine jump for a smart telescope. On paper it should pull in noticeably more signal per night than any 50 mm smart scope, and the built-in narrowband filtering targets the exact wavelengths emission nebulae give off, which matters a lot from a light-polluted back yard. IP56 weatherproofing is also a practical feature that no competitor in this class currently offers.
Where it falls short
It hasn’t shipped yet — every spec here is a manufacturer claim, not a verified result, and pre-order history in this category (including Dwarflab’s own earlier models) has included slipped ship dates before. At 5.5 kg it’s also no longer a “slip it in a backpack” device the way the S30 or Dwarf 3 are; it’s closer in bulk to a compact traditional refractor. And at $1,399–$1,599 it’s priced against real traditional rigs — a star tracker, a small APO refractor and a cooled astro camera — that can outresolve it if you’re willing to learn polar alignment and stacking software.

Buyers who want the biggest aperture currently offered in a self-contained smart telescope, and who are comfortable ordering a pre-order with a stated November 2026 ship date.
